SquidSoap
Background:
SquidSoap is out to make its mark on the handwashing world. Featuring a fun soap dispenser that marks children's hands with a non-toxic ink spot that washes away only after the doctor-recommended washing time, this emerging product sought to make a big splash in a competitive soap marketplace.
Objective:
Conceive a two-part educational packaging and display solution to create brand awareness and build on the momentum of the product's recent media coverage. The display would need to accommodate multiple SKUs to save on the expense of different sets of tooling.
Solution:
With the creation of a 24-point SBS primary package, Drake Container ensured that the client could tell the SquidSoap story and educate the consumer on two "fronts," while its innovative nesting design allowed for optimal display efficiency. Next, Drake produced a display system for the packaging versatile enough to ship in four formats:
- A 48-count freestanding display with a base and header
- A 48-count hanging display for in-store metal fixtures
- A 24-count hanging sidekick unit for in-store fixtures
- A 12-count sidekick unit with a shelf graphics blocker
Results:
Drake delivered results as unique and educational as the soap itself. The primary package cleaned up with retailers, achieving the goal of both attracting and informing consumers, while the flexible display system delivered convenient customization at minimal cost to the various retail channels.
